Charles Dwyer Selects Denver to Debut Exhibition

Charles Dwyer Jr., known for his unique abstract to figurative techniques, has selected Cherry Creek North’s GALLERY M for his solo exhibition for 2008, A Call To Vera.

Dwyer will be at GALLERY M where his works will be displayed at a special champagne reception on March 7th and then the next day he will be at the gallery as well. The opening on Friday is from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is open to the public. The show runs through May 31st.

Artist's Collage Becomes Congregation's Exploration of Faith

Few things strike fear in the hearts of adults quite like an artist's paintbrush.

The fear is born, no doubt, from a third- grade teacher who criticized your painting of a pink polka-dotted cat and insisted you follow proper two-point perspective when drawing a picture of your house.

So members of Temple Emanuel were understandably addled when muralist Jay Wolf Schlossberg Cohen handed them brushes and asked them to paint impressions of faith, history, the Holocaust, prayer, hope, civil rights, the Torah, the environment and the future of a modest temple in Reisterstown.

Artist Alexandra Nechita Comes to Cherry Creek North

Alexandra Nechita, recognized internationally as a prodigy in the world of art for the past 15 years as well as a United Nations ambassador for the arts, will be in Cherry Creek North for her exhibit at GALLERY M March 10 and 11. In addition to her signature cubist paintings, Nechita will debut seven sculptures she most recently completed -- each piece relates to world peace, liberty, and life.

Rose Heindel, wife of renowned artist Robert Heindel will be in Cherry Creek North at GALLERY M on Friday, February 9, 2007, to represent the works of her late husband who passed away at the age of 67.

Collected by Princess Diana, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Crown Prince of Japan, Princess Margaret and Hollywood’s George Lucas, Robert Heindel’s work depicts the motion, color, drama, and love that is dance.

THE WORKS OF LIFE MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHER, ANDREAS FEININGER IN CHERRY CREEK NORTH

GALLERY M in Cherry Creek North, as an authorized LIFE gallery of photography, will host a collection of photographic works by LIFE Magazine photographer, Andreas Feininger to help celebrate the gallery’s tenth- year celebration.

Feininger (1906 – 1999), who became a member of the LIFE magazine staff in 1943, dreamed of being a scientist, trained to be an architect, yet elected to set his sights on photography and made it his passion. Although he traveled worldwide, it was New York City that really was the lure for his lens. He once said, “he grew to love all aspects of New York, its buildings, its people, its cars and traffic jams, its confusion and its ugliness. The city is a living organism: dynamic, sometimes violent and even brutal.”

Modern Masters Show and Featuring Marc Chagall

A special art exhibition and sale honoring Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Henri Matisse and featuring special works by Marc Chagall, will be featured at GALLERY M October 20 – 22 in Cherry Creek North.

In its tenth year as the premiere gallery in Denver, GALLERY M was selected as one of only six stops nationwide for this show. It will feature the works of more than 80 museum-quality authenticated works ranging in price from $1,000 to $300,000.

Scheduled is a grand-opening weekend reception beginning on Friday, October 20. The public is invited to attend and an RSVP is requested. The Saturday and Sunday details are listed below.

The exhibit and sale of these masterworks are considered a rare opportunity to own collectible – and valuable – works of art.

Each day’s exhibit will include a brief, informal talks detailing the techniques utilized by each artist.

LIFE MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHER COMES TO DENVER

John Loengard, renowned LIFE Magazine photographer, and photo editor will be in Denver for an exclusive show and sale of his works on November 11 in Cherry Creek North at GALLERY M where his work is currently on display.

Loengard began freelancing for LIFE after graduating from Harvard University in the mid-1950’s; he then joined the staff in 1961. His assignments lead him to diverse parts of the country and subject matter including memorable essays on Georgia O'Keefe, the Shakers, the Vanishing Cowboy and world leaders to name a few.
