Felicia

Felicia (1948 - )

Since 1985, Felicia’s contemporary figurative manner has demonstrated a unique, elegant technique and style focused on the female muse.   While originally from New York, she draws her Western and Southwestern subject matter from her own journey between the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and the California desert.   Classic to her works, whether maquettes or 2 times life-size, the ethereal nature of Native Americans, and specifically women, remains a focus.

Through balance, curve, and form, she distills gesture into quiet essential expression. Rather than seeking anatomy alone, she searches for design, emotion, presence, simplicity, and elegance.

Permanent installations include public squares in Beaver Creek, Colorado, and those in La Quinta, CA.  Museums include temporary and permanent exhibitions.
